Questions

How long does a home inspection take?

Usually 2–4 hours depending on size, age, and condition.

How long does it take to get my report?

New York law allows up to five business days for an inspection report. Ours is ready within 24–48 hours after the on-site inspection. Need it faster? Expedited reports are available in most cases within 12 hours, and sometimes the same day. Lab-based tests (water, mold, lead and asbestos) follow separately, usually within a few business days, once results come back from the lab.

Should I attend?

Yes, especially the last 30–60 minutes so we can walk you through findings.

When do I get my report?

Within 24–48 hours, online and by email. (NY law requires delivery within 5 business days.)

Do you check code compliance?

No. NY home inspectors report on the visible condition of accessible systems and components. We don't determine code compliance, property value, or boundaries.

Will you fix what you find?

No. To stay objective, we never perform repairs on homes we inspect. We tell you what type of qualified professional to call.

Who sees my report?

Only you, or people you authorize, except as required by law.

Is a home inspection a guarantee?

No. It's a visual, non-invasive evaluation of the home's condition on the day of inspection.
